Frequently Asked Questions

  1. If you were to take my insurance would it cost more than self-pay prices?
If you have a high deductible plan, the answer most likely would be “yes”.
  2. People often get confused about the terminology of insurance, ‘co-pay’, ‘deductible’, ‘out-of-pocket max’ What does this mean anyway?

Co-pay

let’s consider this a “down payment” ( you will be getting a bill for the remainder of the balance of the visit later).

Deductible

This is what you promised to pay for (in addition to the co-pay) BEFORE your insurance company will contribute to your healthcare costs

Out-of-pocket Max

a cap, or limit, on the amount of money you have to pay for covered health care services in a plan year. If you meet that limit, your health plan will pay 100% of all covered health care costs for the rest of the plan year.

(session cost will not be applied to deductible)
